Below you'll find our general entry criteria for applicants wishing to take any of our aesthetics courses here at Harley Academy. Simply choose the relevant dropdown menu to view the eligibility criteria specific to each course
LEVEL 7 COURSES
Our Level 7 Diploma in Cosmetic Injectables course (botox & dermal fillers) is open to the following healthcare professions:
- Doctors
- Dentists (including dental therapists)
- Nurses (including midwives)
- Clinical Pharmacists
Please note that we do not accept dental nurses or dental hygienists on any of our aesthetics courses, including those with GDC numbers
You must be registered with your professional healthcare statutory regulatory body with no restrictions on your practice
- Doctors must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Dentists and dental therapists must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Nurses and midwives must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Clinical pharmacists must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Clinical pharmacist applicants must also:
- Provide proof of active clinical work where patient consultation is the majority of your day-to-day responsibilities, within the last year, in the form of a CV
Dental therapist applicants must also provide:
- Proof of active clinical work where patient consultation is the majority of your day-to-day responsibilities, within the last year, in the form of a CV
- Documented evidence of a designated prescriber who has experience in clinical aesthetics for one year
All Level 7 Diploma trainees are also required to have the following:
- An English language level of International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 7.0 in all components, or equivalent, and this score must be less than 2 years old, if English is not your first language
International requirements:
- Proof of clinical active practice/registration with professional body within the last year - translated into English
- NB: Evidence of studying at degree level in the UK or another English-speaking country is accepted
- Peer reference providing supporting evidence of active clinical work within the last year, where patient consultation is the majority of your day-to-day responsibilities
- Confirmation that the qualification will only be used in your international country of medical registration
- Please note, we cannot accept trainees from this list of sanctioned countries
If you reside in one of these countries, we cannot accept you onto our courses. If you are from one of these countries but 1) live in the UK and 2) are registered with a UK governing body, you are eligible for our courses.
Failure to declare any restrictions to us will result in non-refundable termination of the course and any change in restrictions must be immediately reported to us.
BOTOX & FILLER COURSES
Our Foundation Training in Medical Aesthetics course is available to the following medical professions:
- Doctors
- Dentists
- Nurses (including midwives)
- Clinical Pharmacists
Please note that we do not accept dental nurses or dental hygienists on any of our aesthetics courses, including those with GDC numbers

INJECTABLES MASTERCLASSES
Our Tear Trough Filler Masterclass is available to the following medical professions:
- Doctors
- Dentists
- Nurses (including midwives)
- Clinical Pharmacists

You must be registered with your professional healthcare statutory regulatory body with no restrictions on your practice
- Doctors must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Dentists must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Nurses and midwives must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
Clinical pharmacists wishing to join this course must also:
- Provide proof of active clinical work where patient consultation is the majority of your day-to-day responsibilities, within the last year, in the form of a CV
Anyone wishing to join this course is also required to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Successful completion of a Foundation Training in Medical Aesthetics course either with Harley Academy or another reputable training provider
- At least 6 months of practical experience in administering cosmetic injectables, including being competent in using a cannula
- An English language level of International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 7.0 in all components, or equivalent, and this score must be less than 2 years old, if English is not your first language

SKIN COURSES
You are eligible to undertake our Foundation Training in Cosmetic Dermatology if you belong to one of the following medical professions:
- Doctors
- Dentists
- Nurses (including midwives)
- Clinical Pharmacists

ONLINE AESTHETICS COURSES
Our online aesthetics marketing course can be purchased via our website. Access is provided free of charge to our Level 7 trainees.
