What to Expect From Your Level 7 Observation Days
Observation Days are a key component of our Level Diploma in Botox & Dermal Fillers course.
As part of your course, you’ll attend two Observation Days held at our City of London centre. Each session is run by members of our faculty – experienced clinical trainers and aesthetics specialists. You’ll be part of a small group of fellow medical aesthetics trainees, creating the perfect learning environment.
Covering basic anatomy and theory, you’ll observe an experienced injector treat a case of filler and botox. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions to the patient and your mentor.

How to book your first session
These can be booked through your eLearning account, so you can find a day that suits you best.
You must attend one Observation Day before you can book your first mentoring session. You can attend the other Observation Day at any point during your course, before your last mentoring session.
What to expect on your Observation Days
Each Observation Day runs from 9 am to 6 pm. You can attend either in person or remotely. We host one remote Observation Day each month. Our in-person Obs Days - as they’re often known - are held more frequently, usually at Harley Academy Threadneedle Street.
Remote sessions
If you’re joining us remotely online, you’ll be able to access the Zoom link through your eLearning account. The link will be available 15 minutes before the session starts.
You’ll be participating even if you attend remotely, by answering and submitting questions. Therefore, you’ll require a good internet connection and a device with a working camera and microphone.
In-person Obs Days
If you’re attending in person, please arrive at our training academy at least 15 minutes before your session is due to start.
Lunch will be provided in our coffee bar, which also offers the opportunity for additional networking time with your peers. Please ensure you specify your dietary requirements when booking your in-person day!
Observation Day agenda
Both online and in-person Observation Day sessions work in the same way. You’ll be asked to introduce yourself and then your aesthetics trainer will follow with the day's agenda.
You’ll observe your trainer complete initial consultations and treat a range of aesthetics patients. These will include both botox and filler cases.
However you choose to attend, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask them questions and learn more about each case!
During the session, you’ll need to take detailed notes and use these to complete your logbook.
5 key points to note prior to your Observation Day
1. Decide whether you want to attend in-person or remotely
2. Book your Observation Days through your eLearning account
3. Ensure you complete one of the two Observation Days before you book your first mentoring session and the other one at some point before your final session
4. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your session time if you’re attending in-person. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and your device’s camera and microphone are working for online Obs Days
5. Take detailed notes for each case.
Observation Days are a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow aesthetics practitioners in training while learning more about facial anatomy and injecting techniques. It’s also a great time to ask burning injecting questions and take notes on the patient’s cases.
