The Aesthetics Show Meets Award-Winning Dr Sophie Shotter
On 24 November The Aesthetics Show will feature award-winning Dr Sophie Shotter in conversation with founder and CEO of Harley Academy, Dr Tristan Mehta.
Having left her career as an anaesthetist to retrain in aesthetics, Dr Shotter is now a sought-after practitioner in both London and Kent. She has been practising aesthetic medicine for six years.
Under the exclusive Allergan mentorship programme she was personally mentored by Dr Mauricio de Maio. De Maio is the renowned Brazilian plastic surgeon who developed the “MD Codes”. These are techniques for using injectables such as botox and dermal fillers for non-invasive cosmetic procedures.
Dr Shotter is the founder and medical director of Illuminate Skin Clinic in Kent, which won the Best Clinic in the South of England award in 2019. She also works at London’s Cosmetic Skin Clinic and was included in the Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2020.
Having also earned a coveted spot on The Tweakments Guide author Alice Hart Davis’s recommended aesthetic practitioners list, we know you’ll be keen to hear Dr Sophie Shotter’s take on the importance of good PR for injectors. We’ll be asking her how she manages her PR relationships and the impact it has on her practice.
Known for her skin-first approach – a woman after our own hearts – Dr Shotter is a proponent of using injectables to make subtle aesthetic enhancements.
Dr Tristan Mehta will be talking to her about her aesthetics career journey from the NHS to running a successful private practice. He will also be discussing upper face filler with her during our “live injection” section. This will feature a temple filler.
Due to the current lockdown situation we will not be performing a live injectable treatment in this episode. Instead, we will be reviewing footage of “one we made earlier”. Dr Mehta and Dr Shotter will explore temples, anatomical layers and share their expert tips on approaches to injecting.
