Professor Sebastian Cotofana Joins Harley Academy
Globally-renowned anatomist, Professor Sebastian Cotofana has joined Harley Academy as Academic Director.
About Professor Sebastian Cotofana
Professor Sebastian Cotofana M.D., Ph.D., Ph.D. is a professor of anatomy and trauma surgeon based in the United States. His research focus lies on applied clinical and functional anatomy of the face as it relates to surgical and non-surgical treatments.
Professor Cotofana is a member of the Department of Dermatology, ErasmusUniversity Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands and the Centre for Cutaneous Research, Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University, London, United Kingdom.
Furthermore, he’s an honorary professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, at China’s Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital in Guangzhou, and at Pirogov University, in Moscow, Russia. He also holds visiting professorships at the University of Belgrade in Serbia and at London’s Queen Mary University.
Professor Cotofana teaches basic and clinically applied anatomy to allied healthcare professionals around the world. His research focuses on applied clinical and functional anatomy of the face as it relates to surgical and non-surgical treatments. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and online communications.
His innovative contributions to facial anatomy have earned him various awards and accolades throughout his illustrious career. As a member of several esteemed medical and anatomical associations, he is known for fostering collaborative global research and knowledge-sharing.
Additionally, Professor Cotofana is a sought-after international speaker. He regularly shares his expertise at prestigious medical conferences and educational events worldwide.
Professor Cotofana’s role at Harley Academy
As Harley Academy’s Academic Director, Professor Cotofana is responsible for our trainees receiving rigorous, evidence-based medical aesthetics training.
He will be setting our educational direction and working with our faculty to ensure Harley Academy courses feature verified, up-to-date approaches, techniques and information.
