Dr Emily’s top tips for attending conferences
Conferences are a great way for people interested or involved in aesthetics to network with like-minded peers. You’ll be able to experience new products, watch expert demonstrations and learn from the best in the industry.
Despite all the positives they bring, conferences can often be a daunting experience. Especially for those of us who, like Dr Emily Mehta, are natural introverts.
Having attended many such events in her time, Dr Emily has put together her top 5 tips for making the most of them.
Don’t wear heels. Opt for comfortable shoes and resist the urge to feel glamorous
Don’t bring your laptop. You won’t use it but will leave with a sore shoulder
Bring water and snacks. Food is scarce at events and long queues are guaranteed
Create your own agenda. Decide what you want to learn in advance to make the most of your time
Don’t feel like an imposter. These events bring together a mix of professionals of varying backgrounds and degrees of industry experience.
We look forward to seeing you there and make sure to tag us on Instagram @Harley_Academy!
