Facial Rejuvenation: Eye Lift & Mid-Face Filler Demonstration

Watch Harley Academy founder & CEO, Dr Tristan Mehta provide subtle facial rejuvenation in his latest filler demonstration video.

As well as showcasing an eye-lift and different mid-face filler treatments, he debuts a new injection technique for treating the temples.

Dr Tristan’s previous demonstration video went viral, garnering over 700,000 views on YouTube, where he completed a full face filler treatment.

Patient presentation

This latest video features a 39-year-old female patient who’s beginning to lose some volume in the anterior cheek and the under-eye region. Dr Tristan also identifies some mild maxillary recession which concerns the patient.

“Lost volume in the lateral cheek fat pads” is recognised by Dr Tristan, who states that treating this area could contour the jaw.

The aim, he notes, is to create significant yet subtle change through a small amount of well-placed product.

Filler treatments featured in the video

In the demonstration, Dr Tristan talks through the patient’s anatomy and the treatments he’s administering as he injects. These filler treatments include:

• Periorbital rejuvenation, for example, using temple filler to raise the lateral tail of the brow and restore lost volume
• Tear trough treatment
• Interior and anterior cheek filler.

A new temple filler technique - the interfascial place

Dr Tristan says that the patient is experiencing volume loss in the temples at the temporal crest. He shows his preferred technique for the interfascial plane. Using lidocaine to open layer four with a 25g cannula, Dr Tristan then enters this plane – the interfascial.

He points out, “It still looks superficial but it's underneath the superficial temporal fascia. Here, I'm going to slowly inject, using this anterograde technique to open up the interfacial plane of the temple.” This creates more comfort and an even result.

“Many practitioners have injected superficially in the temples before… but injecting into the interfascial plane is something relatively new. It's definitely something I encourage because of the impact it has across the face,” Dr Tristan explains.
