6 Things To Know If You’re Thinking About Injectables Training
Do you want to start your medical aesthetics training? Exciting news! There are many injectables training courses out there to suit a variety of skill sets and qualification levels. But how do you determine which is a good training provider, particularly when they require investment? Here’s a brief guide…
Attend open days
This is the best way to get to know the training provider. You’ll be able to understand the different courses on offer and potential motivations for enrolling onto each one. If you are unsure about which course would be best for you, open days give you the chance to speak to practising aesthetics professionals and get your questions answered. They’ll be able to give you advice based on their experience not only as a practitioner but as a student too. We hold regular open days – learn more about Harley Academy open days.
Choose a training academy that offers a regulated course
Harley Academy created the first Level 7 certificate in the UK, with the principle goal of standardising and raising safety standards in aesthetic medicine. Our Level 7 was the first fully regulated Level 7 qualification in injectables. This means that, as a training provider, Harley Academy is up-to-date with the latest guidelines issued by Health Education England. We were also the first training provider recognised by the Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).
What will you actually learn?
What will the course teach you? How in-depth is the course? Will it give you the information you need to practice? One-day courses only cover the absolute basics of injectables training. In order to have an in-depth understanding of aesthetic medicine, including how to manage potential complications, you can complete the Level 7 qualification.
If opting for the Level 7, are the mentoring sessions 1:1 or in a group setting?
This should be a determining factor in your decision. Mentoring sessions are a crucial part of every Level 7 course experience. When it comes to injectable treatments, we truly believe that students should only learn from an expert. The one-to-one nature of Harley Academy mentoring means you have the opportunity to be observed injecting. This means you will get personalised tips and feedback from your mentor in a setting where our experts can really focus on you and your particular strengths. At Harley Academy, all of our Level 7 students get 4 1:1 Mentoring Sessions as part of the course.
Life after training
What happens next? Does the training provider give you career support and/or prepare you for life after training? At Harley Academy, we run regular clinical seminars and business workshops designed to give you the skills you need to pursue a career in aesthetics. For example, these include how to find your USP and increase patient retention. You will find there are also many more perks of joining Harley Academy’s Level 7 community.
